I think that Macbeth is a very violent and serious play. Actually I get the idea to post this when I listen to what Sammy said that there is a lot of killing scene in Macbeth. So... I think that this story is a violent story.
Macbeth was only able to achieve, becoming king by killing friends and even the king himself. A lot of blood is lost in Macbeth's path to "success". In a way it is similar to violence we have today but only we do not kill others to get what we want but we do sabotage others to makes ourselfs look stronger than we actually are. People now a days don't need to be good at a certain job to get it they just need to know how to persuade others into thinking they are good.
The play teaches us that if you start a cycle of violence it can be impossible to come out of it. For example, Macbeth started just by killing one character but in he ended up killing more people just to keep his role as a king. It teaches us that " what ever goes around comes around".
Just want to share my thoughts. Thanks.. :-)
There is a lot of blood and gore in this play. It is said to be Shakespeare's darkest plays!
